Mercury Retrograde means that the planet mercury appears to be moving backwards through the zodiac. In general, Mercury rules thinking and perception, processing and disseminating information and all means of communication. Mercury also has an occult side, so healing, astrology and the transmission of spiritual knowledge are also “off”.

Mercury Retrograde gives rise to personal misunderstandings; flawed, disrupted, or delayed communications, negotiations and trade; glitches and breakdowns with phones, computers, cars, buses, and trains.

It is always suggested not to make important decisions while Mercury is retrograde, due to the inaccurate flow of information during this time. Our mental clarity is challenged and so… critical faculties are dimmed during the three week periods of retrograde.

This past Mercury Retrograde occurred November 24 through December 14th. On November 24, I had been with my brother, has family and good friend “Randy Wallace” (a celebrated/successful Director) enjoying Thanksgiving. Somehow my gift of gab caught his attention… probably because I poked fun at my brother. lol. In LA, if you “are Somebody or know Somebody, then perhaps you are Somebody. Randy thought it funny that my brother (Jack, who likes to keep a low profile), may be hesitant to share he has a sister / Tantra / Rabbi… who is Somebody!

By November 27 I left LA, knowing that my search for relocation would not be in the LA landscape of “Somebodies”. However in the next 21 days, I would be on a mission plagued with snafu request of the universe to show me my perfect relocation dwelling. I have been “dwelling-less” ever since November 17th, traveling with my three PINK luggages all around the luscious landscape of San Francisco, Berkeley, Tiburon, San Rafael, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Sebastapol, Middletown and Napa Valley! Navigating the unpaved hillsides, wandering dear, souls thirsty for Shechinah, landlords overextended with their finances, residents who know tantra as a part of their every day breathing… This has been an exciting and miraculous journey for me. While I found myself in the retrograde delusion was with my tireless mission of finding WHERE to plant new roots. Having lived briefly in San Anselmo and Tiburon this past summer, I knew two things: both beautiful, both expensive!

With Mercury Retrograde in the 11th hour, my body stressed, my eyes tired from searching the internet for deals, my head needing a transplant (or so I thought), my doubts playing tricks on spirit and I had not wanted to extended my airline ticket, which I had done twice already. On a relentless mission, I AM! And there it was… the number 112. 1-12 is my birthday . A divine house share in San Anselmo, house number 112, found on 12-15, one day post Retrograde, moving date 1-2.

Moral of the story … faith! It is always about faith, divine timing, G-d speed, trust.
Blessed be 2012! I feel like I have arrived HOME, where the waters of my womb will thrive in the light of glorious Shechinah. Florida was a long run – over 50 years and Ill be leaving my training wheels on the sands of the Atlantic! Baruch Hashem to the one thing we can count on… change!

And tomorrow I take a first class early morning flight to share the holidays in Florida, with my beloved family. Happy New Year to all!

Delray Oaks Nature Trail is a delightful shady path, centrally located off I95, south of Linton Blvd. It has many different plants and animals to enjoy, a lookout to sit at which takes about 15 minutes to walk to.

This event will be approx. 60 minutes.

A mikvah ceremony, dunking in the ocean, has been around for centuries and centuries. It is a beautiful ritual which will enhance your feelings of purification and inner beauty. It will bring out your authentic self and bring you into an expression of bliss and love.

The new moon is a time we experience times of decline, into the darkness, only to rise again to luminescent fullness. We live our lives with the moon because we wish to harness the distinct qualities of lunar energy: its courage and creativity, its capacity for renaissance and rebirth. It is the perfect time for a mikvah immersion ceremony.

The word “mikvah”, as used in the Hebrew Bible, literally means a “collection” – generally, a collection of water. This process can be done in a synagogues mikveh, the ocean, a pool or jacuzzi.

Wear your swimsuit, bring a towel and your terumah “your financial gift from the heart”.

Tonight we begin the holiday of Succot.  

“During these seven days you must live in Succahs. This is so that future generations will know that I (G-d) had the Israelites live in Succahs when I brought them out of Egypt.” Leviticus 23:42-43

The experience of sitting in a Succah or even better:  eating or sleeping in one, teaches us about having faith (emunah) in Creator.  Being in a Succah reminds us of our “permanent connection to Creator” no matter what or where our dwellings may be.  Also, that as times change, so can our environment change, yet one thing will always remain…  our relationship with Creator.        

I invite you to find gratitude through connection to Creator, who always celebrate with you as impermanence (change) brings you through any darkness you may be experiencing and into the light.  I also invite you to breathe deeper and observe the beauty which this season brings.     

If you build a Succah, I don’t suggest you place a temporary “floor” under your table.  One year I placed a plastic tarp under our table as the Succah was in the “itchy” grass.  Due to the rainy season in South Florida, I ended up mopping the floor more often than I care to count.  Although our family had a good laugh and our feet got a good soaking, I could live without the mopping.  This also cancelled any ideas of sleeping in the Succah as well.

I pray this message finds you in the light of preparation, celebration, contemplation and divination.  Let us become a nation filled with open hearted joy and peace!  Amen v’ amen!       

Rosh Hashanah is akin to the art of restoring ourselves.  Consider this thought:  a treasured desk, handed down by generations.  You own this desk and have chosen to honor with care a painstaking restoration. As the restorer, you gingerly remove the surface dirt and layers of varnish that may have long discolored. Then you must build up areas of missing particles (hopefully not too many). You must give consideration to the values and meaning of the desk, the physical needs of the material and a strategy of conservation.

The Kabbalists explain that on Rosh Hashanah the Divine “Author of your Life” sits at the bench and begins to restore the Cosmic teachings that Adam and his descendents allowed to fall into disrepair.  I invite you to ponder your own Cosmic Teachings. 

This past Sunday night, after praying my Selichot on Saturday night, I had a vivid dream.  When we dream, our soul is sending us “golden nuggests” of information about ourselves in the “now” and in lifetimes past and even prophetically speaking..  our future.  

It was a good dream “bli ayin hara”.  There was a very special man, He was invited to be amongst a community in early medieval times ~ Babylonia perhaps.  The influence of merkava appeared for him as he witnessed the Aron Kodesh in the heavens speak through him to the people.  He was in his 30′s or early 40′s perhaps, a wanderer on his way to… ?  The people were grateful, warm and loving, they didn’t have much by way of materialism in those times, and yet he was gifted with a warm wrap weaved with silver and white thread.  This is my memory.  Coming from a family of “detectives”, I felt compelled to dig into the spiritual translation and recalled a story from the Baal Shem Tov about the “resistance” to the mekubolim. 

The mekubolim were mystics who journeyed through Medeival times, sometimes staying in places for a short time, usually to teach and heal.  This story shared by the Baal Shem Tov speaks of a place called Slotzk, during the years 5464 – 5469 when the mekubolim ar­rived in numbers to the city and the students of the local yeshiva had been influenced by them.  The mekubolim were filled with self-assurance and courage. The townspeople weren’t sure what to make of them and this was a cause for concern.  Most mekubolim hid their knowledge but one day the heads of community arranged an elaborate banquet for an honored guest to speak.  The guest spoke but to everyone’s surprise he informed them that he could not partake as he was fasting that day.  

The irony speaks to me now as I have been on a cleanse of my own for 5 weeks now and will finish just before Yom Kippur.  It has been an arduous task and yet I am grateful for the wondrous clarity of light for my inner essence.  This comes with awareness that strikes a chord of peace within as I raise my hand to the dark and the light shines.  

The kabbalah indicates that Creator will celebrate with us that which we choose.  So if choosing light feels right, then by all means… “just do it”.  

Having taught the art of the Sacred Breath, in tantra we honor the space of light within, I now know that our ability to honor this “sometimes elusive” light flows with divine joy with ourselves and our partner when we practice and preach who we are as a whole.  Although the dark forces within our collective is still prevalent, as a unit, we are responsible for one another.  And so it goes…   

For my future, I now know my Floridian roots are being lifted out of the earth and my condo will not be on the market for too long.  How long Creator and Creation enables me to stay will determine whether I hold the Roadmap to Wholeness at a local Venue or online.  In the interim, I continue to hold private Sessions via skype, phone and in person.  

Incidentally, the purpose of a memorable fast on Yom Kippur is to fast as the Kohen HaGadol would do in the Bais HaMikdash.  I hope that you have a memorable fast and holy Yom Tov!
