My 1st Funeral

At 24 he chose not to deal with his “stuff”.  On the outside his family looks normal and happy but on the inside, clearly something was very wrong with this young man.  As a parent of two, my heart poured out for the family.

I learned a lot about my passion from this experience.  Mostly I learned that I was able to hold the sacred space for a very deep pain.  I also learned that if and when I were to pursue a rabbinical career, then funerals would be an important part of my future.

My prayer for you is that you will communicate directly from your heart and heal the past so that your children have a better chance to live long and prosperous lives.

Om Shalom,

Rabbi Melinda
